Learning Goals for the Week

Learning Goals for the Week

Reading and Writing Learning Goals for the week: 
Students will be able to

1.     Read and spell words with prefixes re- and un-
2.     Identify the theme of a story
3.     Successfully use adjectives, nouns, verbs in their writing.
4.     Meet 3rd trimester writing learning goal: 1 topic sentence, 3 detail sentences, correct capital letters, spacing and punctuation.    
5.     Recognize and read sight words of the week.
      6. Read fluently with expression. 


Math Learning Goals for the week: 
Students will be able to:

1.     Model and identify parts, halves, and whole relationships within context
2.     Compare, count, identify, estimate, write, and order numbers to 100
3.     Identify and write time to the hour and half hour
4.     Estimate and measure the length of objects using non-standard units laid end-to-end
5.     Use standard units (English and Metric) to estimate and measure
