Our Great Week :)

Our school district participated in Read for the Record, a campaign that aims to reach over 2.5 million kids across the country. The idea is that on the same day all across the nation kids will be read the same story. Every classroom was given a copy of The Snowy Day. Mr. Zorn, our Assistant Superintendent, came in on Thursday to share the book with our class. He is a great story teller and the kids loved having him here!

Today we had our Olweus kick off assembly! The kids got their new "Pass It On" Elrod shirts (which they were beyond excited about!) At the assembly we talked about the Elrod Rules:

We will not bully others.

We will help students who are being bullied.

We will include students who are left out. Everybody belongs.

When we know somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at home and an adult at school.

Our theme this year is "Pass It On." It is a great opportunity to talk your kiddo about how they can pass on friendship, smiles, compassion, etc. daily!

Everyone in their new shirts!

The Flathead cheerleaders led us in a"No Bullying" cheer! Two members of the football team also came to talk about "passing it on" and being a good friend.

Have a great weekend!
